Live long and prosper my dear Trekkie heart; for the Comic-con has ended and now we two must part. Speaking Klingon to the depths of my soul you sucked me in like beam of light to toward a black hole. You beamed me up then phasered my heart and like a photon torpedo your logic ripped me apart. Shields down, warp drives out of commission, but I shall meld with you next July for another five year mission.
You know we have fans who want to comment all over this one but just don't have the guts to admit how much they love Star Trek! I am so glad you saw her. I think writing this one was the easiest for me because when I look at her you know she's truly committed to her fandom, how much she must absolutely love Star Trek!I invented my own little story about her while I was thinking about what her trip to Comic-con was like.
ReplyDeleteIn all likely hood she spent the weekend with a group of friends who also more than likely kept to a theme and hung exclusively hung out tother but perhaps this weekend Vulcan met a kindred Klingon in line for a coke and some cheese fries; the lunch of champions, heart attack KA-POW!
Better yet, she met and fell in love...with a storm trooper. Think of the whispers not to mention the culture clash. Star crossed lovers. Get it?
Anyway, I see a whirlwind romance caught up in all of the excitement that comes with meeting the guy who played a vampire on Buffy and sneaking a smooch behind some shady comic racks.
They share fries and lob obscure sci-fi quotes back and forth from their favorite episodes. But just like every good thing the weekend comes to an end.
They part and say their long good byes at the train station agreeing to meet under the giant Kung Fu Panda 7 sign next year.
I like this one a lot.
